Games
I'm an avid PC gamer, focused primarily on first person shooter
style games. I am a staffer for
CaRNaGGe - the Cedar Rapids Network Gaming Group. My
responsibilities there include maintainance of Jander, setup/teardown
crew, and event support. Jander is the Debian GNU/Linux box that
hosts our LAN fileserver, DHCP, firewall, and game day intranet site.
Below, I've listed several games I've played and enjoyed.
I've been intending to extend this list, but I've been too busy
playing games. ;)

Doom *
| The classic 3D suspense/shooter. Doom 3 is a killer single player experience.
| |
Quake *
| id's follow up after the smashing success of Doom. A good series.
| |
Neverwinter Nights
| Excellent RPG engine with a kinda decent packaged plot.
| |
MindRover
| MindRover is a lot of fun. Designing simple 'rovers' to do complex stuff. Lotsa logic and thinking.
| |
Call of Duty
| CoD is based on the Quake 3 engine, and has very detailed models and gameplay. It's a WWII game, of which there are plenty recently, but the single player is solid, and the multiplayer is lots of fun.

World of Warcraft
| WoW is a lot of fun. If you can't decide on a class to play, try the druid. Jack of all trades, master of none, druids get to try some of the abilities of the other classes in the game.

Dark Age of Camelot
| DaoC is an MMO that has, by the lucky chance of being favored by a coworker of Chip's, drawn my attention, and even some of my dollars. It's pretty amusing, as RPG's go, having much more human-human interaction than, say, NWN. I've more or less stopped playing this in favor of WoW now.

SW: Knights of the Old Republic
| KOTOR is a very sharp role-playing game set in the Star Wars universe many years prior to the stories portrayed in the popular movies (I think). I've enjoyed the story, characters, video, and sound, but I've found the UI and stability a little bit lacking. Seems like if you don't skip the cutscenes, you'll be fine.

Supreme Commander
| SupCom is a recent RTS game that has sparked my attention uncommonly... Not usually a fan of strategy games, I find the user interface in SupCom refreshing, particularly revolving around its capacity to zoom the battlefield window anywhere from 50 yards in the air up to orbit to view the whole theater of war.
